Is it necessary to have fencing around the farm?

Fencing is essential and depends on the geographical location of the land and associated risks, such as animal attacks on crops.

The lease amount depends on factors such as geographical region and land infrastructure, determined after a land survey.

How will be beneficial to small scale farmers?

Small-scale farmers have the opportunity to engage with us through our Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) model. We collaborate with FPOs to support the upscaling of livelihoods for small-scale farmers.

With the help of Matrix Farms, how much additional percentage of yield can we expect from the same land?

All the operational expenses will be covered under Matrix Farms.

Who will be responsible for operations?

Matrix Farms will handle all farming operations.

In how many installments will the lease payment be done?

Lease payments will be done in advance bi-annually.

What will be the profit % will i get in case of profit sharing?

Profit sharing percentage depends on factors like geographical region and land infrastructure, determined after a land survey.

Who will decide where to sell the harvest?

Matrix Farms will take care of the harvest and market connections.

If the crop fails, who will take the responsibility of failure?

The responsibility for crop failure is on Matrix Farms, and the risk is covered by them.

Are crops insured against any loss?

Yes, crop insurance is in place.

What is minimum irrigation requirement?

One borewell or any other water source with a discharge capacity of 20,000 liters per hour per 20 acres of land.

Where do you prefer to hire manpower for farming operations?

We hire 3 to 4 agronomists from our side and prefer to hire other manpower locally to support the regional economy.

When will your Survey team visit the land?

Once the land meets all the minimum requirements, the survey team schedules a visit in mutual agreement with the landowner.

Is it mandatory to provide a soil test report?

Yes, it is essential for our preliminary research before visiting the land.

How soon you can start the farming operations on the land?

The timeline depends on when you reach us, generally requiring at least 60 days to start operations after the agreement.

How will you manage to develop the land?

We require well-developed agricultural land with sufficient water resources. If infrastructural development is needed, the landowner is initially requested to undertake it.

How will you decide the lease amount for orchards?

Generally, we opt for the profit-sharing model for orchards as revenue depends on factors such as plant age, variety, density, and soil condition.

In the case of non-fruiting trees, who bears the expenses?

For non-fruiting trees, operational costs are handled by us, but input costs are shared by the landowner or adjusted against profit sharing.

Does Matrix Farms consider rain-fed land?

It depends on the amount of rain received and other water sources, as water is crucial for crop survival.

Does Matrix Farms practice organic farming?

We generally prefer residue-free farming, but if provided with organic-certified land, we are open to it.

Will farmers receive any advance amount?

We provide the first installment once operations commence, and a legal agreement is in place for the assurance of farming operations.
